One of our clients was encountering both coverage and capacity bottlenecks with their existing wireless strategy, and in need of an affordable strategy to both address their current growth and scale for their foreseeable future. The challenges ranged from network equipment configuration unknowns due to turnover, missing credentials across the network equipment, to misconfigurations from previous inexperience. We were able to reset device access, assess immediately solvable configuration needs, and ultimately propose only the absolute necessary additional hardware to meet their goals and avoid a costly complete overhaul.
In this project, architecture diagramming proved key to illustrating the problems, illuminating the opportunities, conveying the action plan, and focusing everyone involved. They were able to easily save expenses installing cabling themselves with clear direction. Our experienced network engineering and administration reduced project costs by reviving their existing equipment to full operation in hours versus the high price tag of an overhaul. Lastly, our expert wireless planning assured coverage, capacity, and security postures to assure speed, quality, and integrity of their growth for an extremely low overall investment.
Often when other providers approach church wireless, they mistakenly plan a portion of the realities. Typically, the usage anomalies aren’t understood by the church client to convey them from which the focus stays on the daily work space coverage needs when capacity is low, with consideration for the capacity needs during worship hours. What is easily overlooked is space rentals, events, and maintenance activities, where wireless coverage become problematic in otherwise infrequently accessed spaces, and/or capacity challenges occur in normally low utilization spaces. It is a relatively small additional investment to add higher capacity access points, increased network bandwidth links, and/or more densely populated access point topologies to a project. In the end, these filled gaps significantly increase the value of the investment dramatically decreasing the realized total cost of ownership with increased life expectancy.
